Celebrating Special Uniques

You’re invited to our FREE Zoom Live event on Thursday 28th September 2023 - celebrating the stunning glass beads created by Ricardas Kapucinskas

Join us as we celebrate the captivating work of designer Ricardas Kapucinskas. Lise Aagaard met Kapucinskas in Lithuania in 2005, where he was working in silver jewellery production. He was introduced to the art of glass bead making and fell in love with the process. Kapucinskas used a creative technique called ‘masking’, which involves placing opaque glass dots on top of each other in order to create fine lines and convert dots to stripes.

Kapucinskas’ designs were inspired by his love of music, as well as art from a variety of cultures. In 2007 he designed 6 Beads for Trollbeads. Using his masking technique to create patterns that echo with nostalgia, the Retro Kit, was inspired by his love of music, with beads named after famous musicians.

In 2010 tragedy struck and Kapucinskas died in an accident which shook the entire Trollbeads family. We are fortunate that his passion for glass bead making lives on in his stunning work, and we’re so glad to offer Trollbeads fans the chance to add these extra special Lithuanian Kapucinskas Uniques to your collections.

Lise was always particularly proud and impressed with his work and has personally hand selected each and every bead that we will showcase - a real tribute and honour for us to be able to show you these treasures.

During our showcase, individual Unique beads will be sold for $40 each. Kits of 3 Uniques will be priced at $100 per kit, and kits of 6 will be priced at $200 and all these Uniques have Universal Cores.
